There are lots of ways you can plug in to life at Knox Church.
Below are a list of the main groups within the congregation.
Knox Knits – meets every Thursday at 1pm. Don’t know how to knit? Don’t worry! We’ll teach you!
Cannin’ and Jammin’ – a seasonal group who meet in the church kitchen to “can and jam” for the annual tartan bazaar.
The Kitchen Whiches – meets once a month with a lot of hilarity, this group prepares delectable dishes to be sold for the benefit of the church.
The Knox Foodgrains Committee – meets approximately once a month with the purpose of raising awareness and funds for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
The Men’s Club – a fun loving group of men who plan social and fundraising events several times a year at the church.
Crafters – meet twice a month for a variety of crafts
Sew it Seams – meets twice a month. Bring your own sewing machine, or use one of the church’s. All abilities welcome. Currently, this group is working on hygiene kits for women in developing countries. The next project is a quilt for hospice care.
Outreach Circle – a friendly group for women that meet on a monthly basis for devotionals and projects.
WMS (Women’s Missionary Society) – meet several times a year for study and to encourage mission within the church.
Mom’s Night Out – meets several times a year for social get togethers and retreats.
NOTE: All of the women’s groups send a representative to a monthly meeting of Knox Presbyterian Women. This is the group which governs funds raised by the women of the church and plans several wider church activities for women.
